This tea takes its name from one of China’s most famous tea legends; dedicated tea aficionados are said to have trained monkeys to pick an otherwise unobtainable tea from wild bushes overhanging Fujian’s steep rocky mountains. It’s roasted at high temperatures, which creates great depth of flavour. It has a sweet peachiness combined with rich toasty and chocolate-like flavour.
Monkey legend aside, this tea is worth its weight in gold and an absolute joy.
Available in loose leaf format only.
