Product Launch: Pringles Stix

Pringles is branching out beyond potato crisps with new Pringles Stix. You might expect these to be made of dehydrated potatoes or potato flour, but their main ingredient is wheat flour.

The idea for Pringles Stix are that they are "fun to play with;" they're about just the right size to substitute as chopsticks or drumsticks.

The crunchy sticks are available in three flavors: Cheese, Honey Butter, and Pizza.

You can pick them up in an 8-count box of individually-wrapped pouches or in a resealable bag of 70 sticks.

Pringles Adds Pumpkin, White Chocolate Peppermint and More Festive Flavors

When one thinks of the flavors Pumpkin Pie Spice, White Chocolate Peppermint and Cinnamon & Sugar one thinks of coffee, or perhaps a slightly misguided line of breakfast cereal.

But, actually, these three taste combination make up Pringles new holiday line. Yes, they are potato chips.

The festive flavors will be sold for $1.79 exclusively at Walmart starting this November.

According to early reviews, the Pumpkin Pie Spice is decent enough. But the White Chocolate Peppermint has been described as a “horrible abomination to humanity.”

Which sounds about right, since we’ve certainly never had the urge to eat potato chips and chew gum at the same time.

Pringles’ new flavor picks call into question how much actual potato is in a heavily processed chip. Granted, it’s a question we’ve pondered before Pringles came out with their bizarre holiday line. And it certainly hasn’t stopped us from wolfing down a tubular can or two in the past.
