Cincinnati Brand Advocates for Those Affected by Breast and Women’s Reproductive Cancers Through ‘Pink with a Purpose’ Campaign

CINCINNATI, OH (September 26, 2018) – Klosterman Baking Co., a family-owned bakery headquartered in Cincinnati, is launching its 6th annual campaign benefitting Pink Ribbon Girls. This year, Klosterman has made it the company’s goal to raise $15,000 for Pink Ribbon Girls in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With this donation, The brand will provide 1,875 meals for women and their families battling breast and reproductive cancers. On October 1st, the campaign will kick off with Pink with a Purpose Honey Bread, Bun and Roll varieties in grocery stores throughout Greater Cincinnati and Dayton. Consumers can show their support of Klosterman’s efforts by purchasing any one of these specially marked Pink Ribbon Girls items.

Pink Ribbon Girls’ mission isn’t just to talk about cancer, but to take on cancer. The organization’s staff and volunteers work hard to lighten the burden of a cancer diagnosis by providing clients and their families with free direct services, which include: rides to treatment, housekeeping services and healthy meals. Klosterman Baking Co. vows to be ‘Pink with a Purpose’ and make a difference in the lives of the clients who are affected most by this disease. Last year alone, the fourth generation family-owned company donated $10,000 to Pink Ribbon Girls’ Cincinnati and Dayton regions. This year, the company aims to increase that amount by $5,000 to assist even more local families fighting cancer. Klosterman Baking Co.’s donation to Pink Ribbon Girls will again contribute to the free services offered to the organization’s clients through its “In the Fight” and “Mets Cancers” programs.

“So many of us have a loved one or friend that has battled cancer,” said Kim Klosterman, CEO, Klosterman Baking Company. “Our goal for ‘Pink with a Purpose’ is to help Pink Ribbon Girls grow their local programs here in Cincinnati and Dayton. We are proud to partner with them to help raise awareness, and especially support, for families who are affected.”

Consumers can look for “Pink with a Purpose” varieties in grocery stores across the tristate. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Klosterman Rich N’ Good Honey Hamburger Buns, Hot Dog Buns, Dinner Rolls, White Bread and Wheat Bread will be donated directly to Pink Ribbon Girls. Klosterman has been honored to be a part of the Pink Ribbon Girls family the past six years and is looking forward to continuing its involvement in Pink Ribbon Girls’ community events, such as Ignite the Fight and High School Pink Sporting Events throughout the Fall season. Pink Ribbon Girls continues to grow the organization so “No One Travels this Road Alone.” Klosterman Baking Co., joining Pink Ribbon Girls for another year of breast cancer awareness, will help the organization to broadcast its message to an even greater part of the community.

Cincinnati Brand Supports Pink Ribbon Girls During 5th Annual Campaign

CINCINNATI, OH (October 1, 2017) – Klosterman Bread, a family-owned bakery headquartered in Cincinnati, is launching its 5th annual campaign benefitting Pink Ribbon Girls. Each year, Klosterman makes a sizeable donation to Pink Ribbon Girls in support of breast cancer research and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On October 1st, the campaign kicked off with Klosterman’s Pink Ribbon Girls Power of Wheat Organic Bread Line. Consumers can show their support of Klosterman’s efforts by purchasing specially marked Pink Ribbon Girls Loaves in stores throughout the Greater Cincinnati and Dayton areas.

Pink Ribbon Girls’ mission is to balance the fear and uncertainty that breast cancer and other reproductive cancers bring to women and families by providing direct services, education and support. Last year alone, the 125-year old bread brand donated $10,000 to Cincinnati and Dayton’s own Pink Ribbon Girls. This year, the company aims to do the same for local families touched by cancer. Klosterman Bread’s Pink Ribbon Girls Power of Wheat Loaf Campaign donation will again contribute to the free services Pink Ribbon Girls offers its members through its Simply Fight! and NO Age NO Stage programs.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Klosterman Organic Raisin, 100% Whole Wheat, Honey White and Honey Wheat loaves will be donated directly to Pink Ribbon Girls’ meal program. Klosterman Bread Again Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month In 5th Annual Collaboration with Pink Ribbon Girls

CINCINNATI, OH (September 19, 2016) – Klosterman Bread, a family-owned bakery headquartered in Cincinnati, is launching its 5th annual campaign benefitting Pink Ribbon Girls. On September 19th, the six-week campaign will again kick off with pink-adorned loaves. Each year, Klosterman makes a sizeable donation to Pink Ribbon Girls in support of breast cancer research and Breast Cancer Awareness Month overall. Consumers can also show their support of Klosterman’s efforts by purchasing specially marked Pink Ribbon Loaves in Kroger stores throughout the Greater Cincinnati area and in other fine retailers throughout Southwest Ohio.
