The yin and the yang of the sea. This nutritious duo of sustainable seaweed and natural sea salt is rich in vitamins and minerals.
Sprinkle over salad and steamed vegetables, or invigorate stir fries. Delicious with fluffy mash and pasta.
Seaweeds are the most nutrient dense foods on the planet, and they bring the organics, packed with vitamins, proteins and amino acids which work in harmony with the inorganic minerals found naturally in our sea salts. Together, they are the yin and yang of the sea.
About the Company
In 2004, after moving to Cornwall, Tony Fraser went exploring around the shores of the Lizard where he found fragments of clay pots that the Cornish would have used to boil seawater and make salt. He was inspired by the idea of Celts using gorse and hazel fires to heat the pots and make salt and decided to set up his new business.
What followed was a three year puzzle – to find the perfect site, the best harvesting method and discover if people wanted sea salt from Cornwall. After a lot of hard work Cornish Sea Salt was no longer just a drop in the ocean.
In the January of 2008 Cornish Sea Salt started trading and was soon making waves in the culinary world.Cornish Sea Salt is now stocked by supermarkets and independent stores across the globe and appears on the tables of top restaurants and hotels alike.
Chefs love the unique flavour and texture of Cornish Sea Salt, and food producers are using the salt in all sorts of products, from butter to biscuits, chips to choc ices.
It has been an exciting adventure, but sadly Tony Fraser passed away in 2012.
The company continues in the safe hands of a fantastic team, and continues to grow, going from strength to strength.
