Quique has been involved in color cosmetics since she was a teenager and has always desired to create and share a line of cosmetics that provided quality products at approachable prices

Beauty Spotlight: Gucci set to launch its first make-up line in September

 

GUCCI is launching its first cosmetics line, confirming rumours that emerged last year. The fashion house has chosen Charlotte Casiraghi, the daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco and a long-standing Gucci muse, to front the campaigns.

The new collection will include eye, lip, nail and face make-up as well as brushes and skin preparation products, and will be produced with P&G Prestige, the company behind key fragrances such as Gucci Guilty and Gucci Première. Pat McGrath is creative design director of P&G's beauty division, and is currently the make-up artist responsible for the make-up looks at Gucci's ready-to-wear shows.

We helped promote this idea by including a cross in the company logo. This symbol is instantly recognized around the world as the symbol for “aid,” thus making the logo a play on the idea that these products are first aid for your skin and have the additional benefit of aiding charities around the world. The packaging and collateral elements are minimal, reflecting the pure and organic nature of the products. Colors represent the different ingredients

Burger King Immortalizes Its Cheeseburger In Eyeshadow

Burger King’s latest foray into visual advertising introduces a new wave of possibilities for using makeup and other cosmetics to promote a brand or service. The above image, attributed to Burger King Netherlands, features an artistic rendition of a cheeseburger onto a woman’s closed eye.

A closer look reveals that the contours of the model’s eyes perform specific representations of the burger; for instance, the lid serves as the burger bun, the eyelashes are painted green for the lettuce, while the lower eyelids are colored with dashes of yellow, red, and brown to render the cheese, tomatoes, and burger patty, respectively.
