Spirits Spotlight: Copper and Kings Vapor Distilled Ginger Absinthe Superior

Double distilled non-chill filtered. No added sugar, flavors, colorants or synthetic chemicals. Copper pot-distilled in American stills handcrafted and hammered in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.

An original handcrafted distillation of classic absinthe superior botanicals – artemisia absinthium, anis, fennel, hyssop, etc., accented with select aromatics, including macerated & vapor distilled ginger. Small batch double distillation of superior, highly aromatic colombard wine selected for exceptional quality. Distilled just twice retaining concentrated herbal flavor compounds with layered, overt ginger spice for a novel interpretation of absinthe superior.

Non-chill filtered for an authentic uncorrupted natural flavor and natural color. Some cloudiness will be apparent at colder temperatures. A beautiful signature natural translucent, milky louche.

Earthy & spicy with a harmonious layering of signature absinthe herbaceous notes; grande wormwood, sweet fennel and licorice. Punctuated with a crisp, spicy ginger bite.

About Copper & Kings

We use traditional copper pot-distillation to forge untraditional craft-distilled, natural, pure pot-still brandies. We make definitive American Brandy influenced by American Whiskey and American music. We do not make derivative brandy styled upon a European sensibility.

Our brandies are batch distilled exclusively in copper pot-stills, and are non-chill filtered with no added sugar, boisé (powdered oak, shavings or infusion) other flavors, synthetic chemicals or caramel colorants for an uncorrupted, authentic, natural flavor, nose and color. Our aged brandies exit the barrel full integrity intact.

We adopt a “low & slow” distillation philosophy – a relatively low distillation temperature, for a longer, slower distillation, maximum copper contact, to express concentrated flavors, aromas, and smoothness.

Philosophically the art of brandy distillation revolves around the concept of retention and concentration. The distiller is attempting to retain the nuance found in the base wine. (As opposed to whiskey distillation where the concept revolves more around extraction and purification to palatability). You “stroke” brandy in to shape.

Drink Review: Paperboat Imli Ka Amlana Juice Drink

A refreshing ale from the hills of Marwar, usually had a bowl of tasty khichda, the amlana is a testament of the region’s victories and celebrations. A drink fit for the grandest of events, Imli ka Amlana offers to your palate something you thought was long gone - an element of surprise. The tang of tamarind coupled with the complimentary zest of cinnamon (and some other secret spices), this is the definitive sweet-sour (and spicy) ale for the centuries

Functional Benefits

Tamarind is one of the numbered sources of tartaric acid in nature. Tartaric acid, knownfor its pharmaceutical applications (and cool sounding name), is also a great anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. Tamarind also works two jobs as an antioxidant and a digestive. The cinnamon in the drink has trace quantities of manganese which (in trace quantities, yup) is great for your bones. Oh, and it’s also a cognitive booster and memory enhancer. So yes. It literally makes you happier and smarter. How’s that for a functional benefit?

Key Ingredients
- Tamarind
- Spices & Condiments
- Water
- Sugar

About the Company
History is basically a collective memory of a people. And we realize that history is a sum of parts.
And some of those parts, are delicious. It all began when fours guys who are history buffs (and
beverage buffs!) sat down to have lunch on a hot Indian summer. They would always share their
lunch and one of them would always bring a flask of delicious homemade aampanna with him.
Among the four of these history (and beverage!) enthusiasts, one comes from a far away land -
A land of bald eagles, of bowls that are super and of cars that are Nas. He is quickly taken to the
idea of commercializing this raw mango ale.

"I want to commercialize this raw mango ale", says the man from the far away, hitherto
unknown land. "Aye!" the remaining trio heartily agree. "Woof!" goes the company dog who
the narrator of this tale forgot to mention until now.

And thus began the journey of Paper Boat. A journey of going back in time and bringing to fore,
liquid traditions. Drinks, that the many civilizations of this subcontinent inspired. Drinks, that are
practical and delicious. Drinks, that are a product of generations of trial and error. Drinks, that
are sadly being lost to the excesses of urban life. Read More

About Corsair
Childhood friends Darek Bell and Andrew Webber began homebrewing beer and wine in Darek and Amy Lee Bell’s garage. They hit a snag while working on a prototype bio-diesel plant, causing Andrew to remark that making whiskey would be much more satisfying. The idea stuck, and the two soon found themselves studying distilleries and spirits. Soon after, Corsair Distillery was founded. Corsair’s spirits have been praised in publications like Food and Wine, Saveur, Imbibe, Whisky Magazine, Whisky Advocate, the Atlantic, Time Out New York, and Maxim.com. Corsair’s innovative and adventurous spirits have won 41 medals at international spirits competitions.
