Yili, one of the largest dairy producers in China, wanted to capture a market opportunity in the premium dairy beverage market, by developing a new high-end milkshake.
The package is a carton-based Tetra Prisma Aseptic, and Tetra Pak’s design studio was asked to create the brand identity and graphic design. Yili asked for a Scandinavian touch to the design, in order to stand out on the shelves in China. The design has white and clean surfaces, elegant hand-created typography, photography and illustrations tailored for the various package panels, and beautiful metallic details in addition to that.
It has been a tight collaboration between Tetra Pak in-house studio supported by No Picnic, Tetra Pak China and Yili, to create something unique for the Chinese Market. The product comes in 2 delicious flavours, chocolate and papaya - and has been a big hit on the Chinese market since spring 2012.
