Industry News: Cincinnati’s Braxton Brewing Co. Gets Into the Pumpkin Pie Patch Just in Time for Fall

Braxton Brewing Co. Releases Pumpkin Pie Ale Inspired by Cincinnati Favorite, Graeter’s Ice Cream

COVINGTON, KY (September 9, 2018) – Braxton Brewing Co., a Cincinnati-area brewing company, and Graeter’s Ice Cream, a 148-year-old, family-owned craft ice cream company, will launch a seasonal Pumpkin Pie Ale in celebration of Fall. This Braxton Brewing Co. flavor will bring beer drinkers an adult-friendly beverage that rings in the Fall season with rich, warm notes of pumpkin reminiscent of Graeter’s classic seasonal Pumpkin Ice Cream. The brew will be available in area Kroger stores, as well as restaurants and bars, beginning September 17th. Meanwhile, a special tapping party will offer the Pumpkin Pie Ale on tap at Braxton Brewing Co.’s Covington Taproom Friday, September 14th, highlighted by unique events for taproom guests that Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Pumpkin Pie Ale is a first for Braxton Brewing Co. and will be available beginning September 17th at Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Lexington, Louisville and Northern Kentucky-area Kroger markets – and other area retailers – while supplies last. The ale’s September 14th release party at Braxton Brewing Co.’s Covington Taproom will feature a festive pumpkin patch-themed taproom that will kick off the weekend’s events.

The new Pumpkin Pie Ale capitalizes on the season of Fall and the community’s love for both Braxton Brewing Co. and Graeter’s Ice Cream. In mimicking the nostalgic flavors found in a slice of pumpkin pie, it features notes of pumpkin pie spice, as well as hints of pie crust. Consumers will notice the ale’s bold aroma, which brings about feelings of the Fall season, as well as a deep brown color from the pour. The brew is the quintessential ode to pumpkin pie.

"Fall is a great time to be in the beer business, especially this year," shares Jake Rouse, CEO of Braxton Brewing. "Our new Pumpkin Pie Ale is not only a first for us, but we're also fortunate enough to once again be inspired by our friends at Graeter's. This is a beer that we're hoping will be another BIG hit with fans."

This collaboration is preceded by the Braxton Brewing Co.’s Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout with Graeter’s, as well as the launch of Graeter’s Stout & Pretzels Ice Cream with Braxton Brewing Co. Consumers can celebrate the launch of Braxton Brewing Co.’s Pumpkin Pie Ale at the release party at the Braxton Brewing Co. Taproom on Friday, September 14th. It will also be available at America’s Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, at which Braxton Brewing Co. will again be a sponsor.
