Drink Spotlight: Tickle Water Makes Waves with First-Ever Sparkling Water for Kids

Tickle Water is a premium naturally flavored kids’ sparkling water, which was founded by Heather McDowell when she realized, as a mom, how difficult it was to incorporate healthier options into her son’s diet.  Her son, Jayger, would reach with his mini hands for her sparkling water and one day, she poured him some bubble water.  From his first sip, Jayger loved the “tickling” sensation on his taste buds; the name stuck, and Tickle Water was born.

The first-ever sparkling water for kids includes flavors such as Sparkling Water, Green Apple, Watermelon, and Cola, and each small hand-held 8.0 oz BPA free PET plastic can is specifically designed to fit children’s mini hands.  Each flavor is free of preservatives, GMOs, gluten, sodium, sugar, calories, and artificial sweeteners, making it a clean alternative to sugar-laden juice boxes and sodas for kids currently on the market.

About the Tickle Water

I’m Heather McDowell, mom to Jayger, and resident of New York City. I love sparkling water. I’ve been drinking bubbly water from the time I was 19 years old living in South America, where everyone drinks “Agua con Gas”.

Before my son Jayger was even 2 years old, he would reach out with his mini hands and ask in his squeaky baby talk voice for my sparkling water. One day I said “why not?”, and poured Jayger some bubbles diluted with a little still water. While he took his first sip of carbonation, I told him that it would “tickle” his tongue because it had little bubbles in it. He looked at me with curiosity, sipped, giggled, and said “tickle tickle!” He loved it. And now asks for tickle water everyday. The name stuck. In our family we call sparkling water, seltzer, bubbly water, or whatever name you might have heard, Tickle Water!

So Tickle Water was born—out of love and necessity. We wanted to give kids the sparkling water experience all their own in just the right size, with a super cool package, the perfect amount of bubbles, and the best tasting flavors.

And what do you know?! As we gave kids the grownup sparkler experience, they stopped asking for sugar-laden juice boxes and sodas. They had fun drinking a beverage all their own, from start to finish. And the biggest bonus?—It is just water! (Shhh—Don’t tell them).
