Now with the rest of the clothing sector looking a bit puffed trying to keep up, designer sportswear labels are cashing in on fitness fanatics determined to be cutting edge fashionistas.
In Sydney’s Bondi, head personal trainer Ali Turner said exercise was a social activity and the gym was a place where her customers wanted to stay on trend.
“What you wear is a representation of yourself,” Turner, 23, said. “People want to associate themselves with being fit and want to be seen looking their best.
