Cheap ‘Natural’ Shampoo Not Up to Standard

Summary:

Natural beauty products are becoming all the rage in Mexico. Whether they contain entirely organic ingredients or a small amount of plant extract, companies are quick to point out their benefits. Shampoos are very common candidate for natural ingredients with people becoming more concerned about the effects of damaging chemicals and hair loss. However, these shampoos can cost a lot more than standard shampoos and may be out of the price range for many Mexicans.

Analysis and Impact:

In various places in Mexico, you can find various places selling discount cosmetics. These may be established stores in the cheaper areas, street side stalls or Tianguis de Belleza and other such shops inside the metro. Here, you can find beauty products that you will not find anywhere else. Many are not from known brands and have a unique selling point. These are the places where you can find natural shampoos for very reasonable prices.

At between $20.00 and $25.00 MXN you get what you pay for. These shampoos may use natural ingredients but they leave your hair feeling unwashed. For those do not want to put chemicals in their hair or want to support the smaller Mexican brands, these cheap products do not really provide the good alternative.
